This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Thats not TOO bad. However, I wouldnt want this thing hitting land, especially areas affected by Frances.

"Global models want to elongate the system, creating a weakness in the high, turning Ivan more to the north, followed by to the west near the coast. I am not entirely sold on this idea; therefore, I am going to stay south of the CONU."

You mean Jeanne right?

Besides that... EXCELLENT JOB!!! Get some rest! :D

Great work Derek, I really enjoy your reasoning and discussions with your forecasts.

Smirnoff all around.. Okay, but I will have me a Jack on the rocks ;) (Just to settle the hurricane worn nerves)!

Derek - I can't say that I particularly like your forecast, but the one thing I can say for certain is that I respect it (as well as your knowledge)!!!

Thank you for taking the time to help us with our understanding of nature's fury.

(Now... if you wouldn't mind turning Jeanne out to sea)

DR a saving grace, if she were not all over that terrain, we are looking at a possible CAT 2 tomorrow morning. really looked good throughout the prior cycles and still holding its own despite the land interractions. Imagine if she stayed north of the DR

Wow--thats almost a hit for me! At least we'll only be looking at a minor cat 2 if it comes here to spare us the devastation from the big 3 charley, frances, and Ivan.
