Tropical wave along 50W south of 15N!!!

#1 Postby HurricaneMaster_PR » Thu Sep 16, 2004 3:08 pm

This tropical wave has been increasing its thunderstorm acitvity throughout the day, and it appears to be located at the same position Jeanne was when it began to develop. We will have to wait to the 530 TWO to see what the NHC has to say about this.

In the short-term. Tropical Depression 12 looks pretty descent, and is getting bigger as time goes by.

It's like a train out there.

Yes. And if you look at Jeanne, there appears to be a small eye. And, again if you look closely, it appears the eye is almost back over water...

Yea, I noticed that. It may be pulling a Jeanne... While it isn't terribly organized, it needs to be watched. TD 12 is well organized, too. Karl is on the way...

so there are perhaps 3 potential areas of development behind Jeanne!!!???
1) wave just west of Jeanne
2)what will be TD 12 at 5PM
3)that wave just off the coast of Africa

Yes, I've been wondering about that blob near 50W too.
Many sleepless nights ahead...

The wave that Hurricane Master mentioned would be TD #13 IF IF IF, it developed. TD #12 (which will be Karl IMO very soon) is the only TD at this time.

Foladar, the wave near 11N 30W is what is likely to be TD 12 at 5pm. The wave near 50W is a tropical wave that will have to be watched.

What? There is no wave just west of Jeanne, and the convection just to the east is associated with Jeanne... There will be TD #12 at 5pm, about 550 miles WSW of the Cape Verde Islands, and the wave just off of the African coast is unimpressive.

After Jeanne, there is Karl, which will become TD #12 at 5pm, other than that there is nothing else expected to develop over the next couple of days.

NHC said "do not expect tropical development until Friday" when mentioning TD #12 at 5PM possibly..so should we see another one this weekend? (TD)
