Luis is OK!!!!!!!

#1 Postby Fego » Thu Sep 16, 2004 9:16 am

Hi.. I'm a tv reporter (Univision). Indeed power is down and 2 millions without water. I talked to Luis at least 3 times, he is ok. He is a hurricane veteran. He told me he measured 46 mph winds, the last time I phoned him. Also he is having problems with his modem.
Here in the island, hundreds are lining up buying ice and gas. At least 3 deads. Ironically, after Frances a lot of people complained about the forecast etc.. now I wonder what do they think. Still raining but no strong winds. Jeanne almost didn't want to leave the Island when took a west track along the north coast toward Dominican Republic.

Good news! Looking forward to seeing him back here soon.

And don't let your guard down - flooding situation definitely isn't over yet.

Ok... I'm trying to call him but celulars lines are a pain in the... but as soon as I contact him I will let you know. Ah.. flooding is the real problem, besides no power and no water service for now.
