The ridge gets a chance to build back in taking Jeanne on a more WNW track through Florida and into the gulf...There will not be no turn with Jeanne....YIKES

Don't write her off yet...

#7 Postby Windtalker » Thu Sep 16, 2004 6:49 am

No models have her falling apart but only hugging the coast of DR, as long as she stays just off shore, she will survive.

Shes actually going a bit SW now. If she makes in through Hispaniola she may even end up in the Caribbean

Innotech, so help me, three days from now I'm going to ressurect this post. You don't talk about the possibility it may fall apart -- no, all observations be damned, you talk about the fact that it will fall apart.

I don't know about the stall, but it's ahead of schedule right now. I was surprised to see it so far inland when I woke up.

Both the GFS and ETA have been trending toward a faster and more NE solution. The NWS in Greenville/SPartanburg mentions this in this morning's discussion. Its a bit early to call the whole stall off, but its looking a lot better than it was yesterday.

http://maps.wunderground.com/data/image ... 9_5day.gif

According to this map it has for tomorrow TS Ivan over NE Alabama then TD Ivan over eastern KY by Sat-Sun period (looks as though Sat/Sun are typed over each other?) and by Mon over NE Tennessee.
