Apparently took roof off of at least part of the hospital.

I think it was minor damage and they erred on the side of safety.

Gary Tuchman reported from the calm eye in Gulf Shores 10 minutes ago. Mobile taking west eyewall. Water being driven out of Mobile Bay...

And its about to get worse...the SE and E eyewall, currently the strongest part it seems (along with the southern eyewall) is heading in that direction. Lots of damage will occur in Pensacola from surge and wind in the next couple of hours.

Yes Pensacola is about to get the worst part of the Hurricane.

The 130 mph winds are in that one band to the east of the eye. That band is at the AL/FL state line and moving into Pensacola.

It was reported on CNN by the mayor and apparently by the EOC in Pensacola, but the name of the hospital was not mentioned, whichis driving me crazy. If you could verify and post back, we would REALLY appreciate it!

Birdwomn--
It MAY be Sacred Heart. The radio reported roof was blown off apartments near Sacred Heart. So, it could be that one. Have heard nothing on radio, yet.

The recent WPMI report for Pensacola dis not sound good.

Tornado sighted near PJC by people at the shelter.
(personal note: still too close to my Mom)

2 Sewage plants failed and are going into Pensacola Bay

I can't recall all the rest...it was all bad and now I lost WPMI

In Pensacola near PJC

Please bear in mind that I do not normally freak out like this. I have other family and friends that boarded up and left town, but my sister and mom decided to stay at Mom's, without boarding up. I could not even get then to go down to a neighbor's that has hurrican shutters.
