Orelon Sidney used to cheat off of me in Dr. Alcorn's Met 310 class back at Texas A&M. :-)

Seriously...she's also a terrific person. I have known her for 15 years. She took the CNN job the week I got married and was moving to Atlanta...which is why she wasn't at my wedding. She doesn't have a met degree but she started off that way and then when broadcast journ. She's good at meteorology and she's a fantastic person.

She's much better than that Janice Dean on FOX. I want to throw the TV in the road when I see her. :grr:

I really like Orelon.

She just said that Mobile Bay will still likely get some serious surge even though Ivan took a slight NNE jog earlier. I think she's correct. The eye looks to be heading straight toward the bay on radar.

She's by far the best on cable, AFAIAC. Especially this last segment, just ended.

She did a very good job on that last segment. Much better than every other channel by far.

Agree with u all

I just saw her and she went into a detailed description of how intensities were determined in the past to now..she described the flags when raised, the Beaufort scale, and the Saffir-Simpson scale....she truly knows her stuff

Although Stephanie is hotter :)

I really like Orelon.

Fox News Channel's Janice Dean isn't a professional meteorologist.

I am not implying that you didn't know.
