Roof Off Gulf Shores Fire Station

CNN's Gary Tuchman reports the fire station in Gulf Shores has had its roof blown-off and doors blown in. The barrier island it is on was evacuated and no one was hurt. The storm is still over 40 miles offshore and hasn't really reached there yet...

Thanks for the update. I'm really surprised they even have someone reporting from there. Don't know if that's very smart.

HIRT is at the Police station Gulf Shores...hope they stay ok!

The CNN reporter in Gulf Shores will be in the calm eye on this track...
