Simple Meteorological Question
During the summer months and in the prominent period of the Atlantic Bermuda High and, in the absence of any hurricane or tropical storm formation, would a low pressure trough descending from the plains states southeast over the GOM / Florida peninsula be able to weaken a strong Atlantic ridge building to the west? Remember, I'm asking about this in the absence of any tropical weather system in the region.
