Friend's houses and Gulf Shores

#1 Postby TazzyD » Wed Sep 15, 2004 7:57 pm

I'm thinking their houses aren't going to survive this storm. They have 2 houses about halfway down that long, skinny sandy beach peninsula...one oceanfront and one across the street, lagoon front. The eye looks like it's headed right for that. I was just there a few weeks ago visiting them. :( :( :( At least they are up here in Indiana and not there during this thing.
My prayers and thoughts for everyone that will be affected by Ivan. I'm also praying my stepbrother and his family made it safely away from Milton, Florida. They said 3 days ago they were going to wait until they absolutely had to leave and we've not heard from them since.

I don't know. It wouldn't surprise me if the waves and surge has already gotten some houses. I just got home and am trying to play catch up on what Ivan is doing.
