Hook Starting

If it's not a wobble, looks like Gulf Shores, Perdido landfall. Maybe Pensacola...

Max Mayfield was just talking about the right hook. Seems they almost always do that.

I hope not. That would put me closer to the center.

Please Ivan follow the path the NHC projects. :(

The FloraBama will have to be rebuilt (again) bigger and better, with an Ivan wing, no doubt, if that is the case.

Whoa! The trough is plunging. Could be a sharp hook into Pensacola now...

I hate to see this hit anywhere especially not another one in FL. However, from what I can determine from listening and watching, the worst case scenario would be for Ivan to go straight up Mobile Bay or just to its left. (west). I believe this would result in the maximum amount of damage. Just my opinion.

Right on the GA line about 35 miles NNW of Columbus, GA. Track is on the other side of the state.

Yes, we're fine for now. Have only had a little light rain, very little wind. Worst conditions with 50-55 mph gusts is expected tomorrow afternoon. I am feeling a little better about this now. Worried about tornadoes though, but if we make it through that, we'll be fine. I'm just ready for it to go through and get over it. The track takes the center about 150-200 miles to the west.

The right hook would bring it closer though and thus give me stronger winds. :( Hopefully just a wobble.

I have friends in Pcola that didn't leave. They were sure it was going to hit in Mobile or Biloxi and they'd be ok inland.

I can't reach them by phone already. Anyone in Pcola here?
