How did Weather Underground get the tropical monopoly?

#1 Postby BReb » Wed Sep 15, 2004 6:07 pm

As long as I can recall, everyone has been going to wunderground.com for tropical updates- how did they get the monopoly on the tropical updates? I don't know of any updates on weather.com or other weather-related sites which are even close to being as popular.

They usually update very very quickly, so that's why everyone goes there.

The Weather Underground has better maps than The Weather Channel's website.

I use the NHC website a lot too.

But, yeah. Weather Underground is awesome. Lots of info in one place.

Another good site is http://kamala.cod.edu

But wunderground has better graphics and an easier interface.
