Cycling the eye of hurricane?
Any reason a person could not get in a bicycle on a road heading north, in the eye of a hurricane travelling north at 12 mph and just have a very interesting bike ride for 50 miles or so? I'm not planning on doing this, but it's interesting to think what it would be like.

Lol that would be interesting to do with a car. Get out of the house right when the eye passes. You're going to have to be very careful what routes you take, because a wrong turn could mean death. Also the debris on the roads, and the flooding. Still, im sure some people have done it before.

"Only trouble with that theory is, your going to have downed trees and debris all over the roads."
That's why I said bicycle and not car. Get a mountain bike and you can get past such unpleasantess. I'm talking an extreme sport here, guys. I guarantee you if some daredevil mountain biker did it and made a video out of the trip, it'd make a pretty penny.
Just imagine- the camera would pan around and you'd see an active hurricane while the hero cyclist struggled to stay in the eye. Uh, oh- there's the eye wall closing fast (see debris flying nearby). Time to go offroad! (Rock music blaring in the video background). Crap, not fast enough! (You see the cyclist getting blown around and diving for cover.)
I'd buy the video. So would a lot of you, I'm sure.
