I posted this in a different forum but no one is in there to see my thread.
I have decided to go shopping for a weather radio since I can't seem to get enough weather and don't know the first thing about them. I need some suggestions. I don't want to spend a fortune, a hand held would do. Where should I look? Any specific features I should look for? Any brands better than others? All suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks

The NOAA has information on weather radios at:
http://www.nws.noaa.gov/nwr/nwrrcvr.htm
I had a Midland WR-30 ($20?) for a couple of years, then it just stopped receiving alerts, and I can't seem to reprogram it. Radio still works, though.
This year I bought a Midland WR-300 (about $90) and am very happy with it.
