ICE STORM WARNING IN LOWER MICHIGAN

#1 Postby WXBUFFJIM » Fri Apr 04, 2003 3:27 pm

Ic accumulation of over 1 inch thick as been recorded in Pontiac, Michigan with over 1/2 inch of ice in most of central lower Michigan. Unfortunately more ice is expected this afternoon into this evening. Many areas could see 1-1.5 inches of ice in lower Michigan. Then add 2-4 inches of snow on top of that. Big Rapids, Mount Pleasant, and Pontiac are in this threat.

Also north central NY state has been totally crippled by snow and ice in particular and more is ahead tomorrow for new england. Severe wx and wintry weather. Sure sign that spring is here and contrasts do happen in spring too.
