They may do so at the 11 PM advisory... the intermediate ones are usually cursory ones.

why?

appears to be less organized now than last recon.

posibly a reorg stage...but definitely doesnt look to be in a strengthening stage right now

Good Lord. I hope whatever chaotic processes bring hurricanes down to lower intensities happens real quick with Ivan. He should be weakening, not sustaining. He hasn't even hit the warm eddy yet. A cat 5 in into Alabama or easter LA would be... well. I just hope it weakens. So far this storm seems determined to do whatever forecasters say it won't do.
