well once I remember the weather channel playing storm stories and our area wasnt even in a tornado watch but I went outside and watched a funnel cloud above my house! Stations dont seem to give much emphasis below ratings.

I don't think you understand women (sorry for being sexist) and their soap operas My roommate would scream bloody murder if anyone pre-empted DOOL, yes, even for a hurricane in her backyard. She was going through withdrawal during the Olympics, which is about the only time they don't air it.

Our local ABC affiliate is promising nonstop coverage when whatever's left of Ivan comes through with updates every half hour starting tonight in primetime.

Mobile stations have regular programing as well but they do have a crawl at the bottom advising of closings. Well I guess I will be leaving for B'ham soon. I really have mixed emotions about leaving but my wife insists that we go. After Freddie she said never again for a major.

Yeh, but try and tell my mom that!!! "It's only gonna be a cat3". She lives in Niceville, just across the bay from Destin and has refused to come here to visit us while Ivan is coming to visit her and many of our friends along the GOM coast..
