Mississippi Residents (Coastal Counties)

#1 Postby Lindaloo » Tue Sep 14, 2004 12:51 pm

Just received word that emergency management are asking all residents South of Interstate 10 in Jackson County to evacuate. I do not remember them doing this before, except for Camille. So, this bothers me.

Same goes for Harrison County. I don't know about Jackson County, but in Harrison it is a mandatory evacuation...very scary!

on leaving tomorrow around noon.

vacancies in Hattiesburg or Jackson. It's gonna be

I'm really wanting to leave.. My parents are wanting to stay.. I'd feel bad if I left and they stayed and something happened.. This is agonizing..

Actually, I think the traffic will be much slower tonight. Alot of people left this morning. Although, with this new evac order traffic may be heavy tomorrow as well.

Linda,

If Susan, Mike and the boys didn't live so far away...you and the kids could go and stay w/ them.

((((HUGS))))

LOL Eric. Actually Susie, Mike and the little guys live in Mandeville, LA now. However, Mike is in VA teaching a class so he is not here. Susie and the little guys are on their way here to my home so we can travel together. :D

Linda,

Is Mandeville near New Orleans? Where are you guys going to evacuate to? :)

Just answered my own ? ---It's nice that Susan, Mike and the boys now live near you and your kids! :)
