Interesting buoy to watch over the next 12 hours or so

This one is due north of the 11AM position of Ivan. Ivan should be passing to the west of it over time. Already reporting almost 50MPH gusts and 16.7 foot waves.

HZRX is reporting winds from 110 @ 52 sustained!

That is 180nm ene of the center...!

So the 50 kt wind radius is actually 180 to the ne...instead of 120.

how often do the buoys transmit the data? or the website refresh rate i suppose??

What's the over/under for when this buoy fails?

And do they ever fix these things or what?
