Not I

Joe B has Jeanne plowing through the GOM on a WNW track to the W Central GOM and then being turned into TX Coast.

He believe a strong ridge of high pressure will build in across the Atl and SE US in the wake of Ivan.

I dont like the sound of that one bit. I can only imagine since you live in Homestead that everytime somebody says its gonna hit South Florida, those images of Andrew keep haunting you. I know how that must feel. :(

Jeanne seems to be growing in size and organization. Is it my eyes or is it real? Luis?

Actually, I wasn't in Homestead, or S. FL for that matter, during Andrew...that means, thankfully, don't have the traumatic memories that so many others have. I've been rather fotunate that since moving to the Miami area 7 yrs. ago I've never had a direct hit by a 'cane...well, not yet anyway... Of course, that also means our time will come again...what a season this one has been so far, though!

lol I can sense your frustration. I guess this is the price we Floridians must pay for living in a tropical paradise for the majority of the year.

Yeah....I already have trip scheduled for the week of Thanksgiving. I realize its hurricane season, but I've been going down 5-6 times a year for 14 years, and this is the first year I've had to cancel a trip due to hurricane. Now it looks like 3 or 4 times this year!!!!!

Should not be too bad for Fl even if it does make landfall. The energy is spent. Frances took care of that.
