I pronounce this name as Gee-nee (like "I Dream of Jeannie"). I know several people that spell their name this way and it is pronounced like gee-nee.

Others (like TWC) are pronouncing it as Jean.

Not really important, it was just bugging me. LOL How are you pronouncing it?

I think it's Jean. If it were Gee-nee, it would be Jeannie. There would be an "I" in it. LOL

Of course, the French (those masters of language) would say ZHON. LOL

Here that would be a French spelling...pronounced almost JAN with a softer A and the N drawn out

Jeanne is the bartender at McGovern's, and she pronounces it Jean-nee.

It's her name, she's a friend, I go with that.

The guy on TWC pronounced it JEAN - EEEE

As in,I Dream of ,and rhymes with meanie :lol:

Steve Lyons pronounced it last night as Jean.

I pronounce it like "John" with a soft J and a long ne sound
Then again, I live in Cajun country and all I hear is French :)

the french pronunciation is the correct one.

There are other spellings for Jeanne that would soundl ike those other pronunciations, but JEANNE is French.

Jean, Jeanie, Jeanee
