Ya'll remember The Day After Tomorrow. Didn't the hurricane suck all the warm air away and things froze over? I mean... yeah... it's Panama versus Brazil and the hurricane struck six months ago, but I see a connection.

No, that was global warming allowing the sea-level to rise, thus putting the aforementioned areas under water. However, Florida somehow managed to stay afloat.
