ERC going on -- good thing, too, since it's going over less favorable conditions soon. Maybe having the ERC happen now will take some wind out of her sails.

Not that much wind StormCenter... maybe 20 mph at most.

not so sure about the erc.........i know you wouldnt know it from reading this forum (j/k) but hurricanes OCCASIONALLY weaken for reasons other than erc.......i better stop before i get in trouble..

anyway...it appears that the same dominant eye is still there....dont see concentric signs and havent heard it mentioned from the nhc or recon....could be...but not as obvious as the last couple.


hey yoda...i know youre an optimist when it comes to hurricane intensity but youre not as rabid as some....so how about a little bet......i think you just said 140 min at landfall? ill say 100......so o/u 120 is the bet. 1 meeeeeelion dollars.

Hmmm, latest recon could suggest a reduction in speed to 150 mph... but we will see what later recons say before the 5 AM advisory.

NW eyewall has collapsed some it appears probaley a CERC about to take shape in a few hours.

When an IRC has gone on so far, it has restrengthenned when complete and even been stronger than before--so we shall see ;)
