What Kind Of IDIOTIC statement is that!!!!!!!!!! I just want to make sure no one on the W coast of FL is caught off guard. We have had more then enough of our share of FEAR!
You know, I think that this is a constant problem on this board. People who live in places where strong hurricanes have not hit for awhile may not understand this, but no one from Florida (or the Carolinas) is "wishing" a hurricane their way. When you've been through bad storms, and lived with all the stress, you are definitely not "wanting" another one to come your way (at least not most sane people). I understand what Florida people are feeling, and maybe now more people on this board will understand us Carolina members too. We are "oh sh*t" casting if anything. It's the dreaded fear of another major hurricane, and the "are you sure it's not coming here" feeling that grips you, even when the forecast does not head the storm your way. Give up this constant griping that someone "wants" a storm. And if there are any members who want to experience a hurricane that badly, all they have to do is fly to the area that is forecast to be hit a day or so beforehand. The members who live on the west coast of Florida are going to feel anxious about this major, huge hurricane in their backyard. Let it be. A little empathy goes a long way.
