however the axis of the trough has already swung through...the question is how much was the ridge eroded and how much will build back in...

I would like to know that more than who is going to win the Super Bowl right now

What exactly is the axis of a trough or ridge--is it the lengthwise split of the feature?

I think he's referring to the vortex pulling to the northeast...now over the TN area.
