8 PM TD#11 Advisory... where is it?

#1 Postby yoda » Mon Sep 13, 2004 7:08 pm

Where is it? There is supposed to be one...

An intermediate advisory will be issued by the National
Hurricane Center at 8 PM AST followed by the next
complete advisory at 11 PM AST.

Anytime watches or warnings are issued for ANYWHERE they issue intermediate advisories.

It is close to my location...At this time, some rain, clouds traveling from the North,a rather unusual direction, meaning that the center of circulation is just to my east.Sure this is not a great event;just a cyclone in its birth stage.Time will tell what it's "porvenir"Nevertheless, very interesting situation,to see a cyclone born over you.Beeter that getting an IVAN to face ....

Keep us updated if you see the winds increase. The center should pass very close to you. If you see any signs of sustained winds above 39mph then no more arguing...Tropical Storm Jeanne.

That will be the key...

If they are not going to move any floaters then I think it is very prudent to have three hours advisories as long as this is a TD or stronger. The islands often are overlooked because they are not mainland USA. It's very frustrating (and very backward in this day and age) not knowing what is happening nearby-I know from experience.

i AGREE 100%.We had a lot of examples about storms forming over our heads without any warnings!!!Wee says in our islands, that we are the first
reconaissance planes for Miami. Not to denied the fantastic work their made, but we are the first in line to known what is the reality of a system, particulary when there are weak, and whithout a specific satellite signature
