If Jeanne threatens.. how long..?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

If Jeanne threatens.. how long..?

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Mon Sep 13, 2004 5:35 pm

Just out of curiosity..

If Jeanne were to threaten Central Florida.. How long would it be..

5-7 days I'm assuming.. But I'd like your opinions..

much further out. a large canadian high is going to build south ahead of the remnants of Ivan, creating a block. this will ensure Jeanne can not only strengthen some, she will eventually move west towards the east coast very slowly. if not be stalled south of bermuda for awhile before. at least 8-10 days

It looks like it would be a week or maybe even 10 days.

I had a feeling it'd be about a week when I saw the 5 day track having it already in the Bahamas..

Not long enough for Florida, I'm afraid.

Send this one to Georgia. We can handle it. :)

I could be mistaken, but I think Jeanne already came and went a week or so ago. I believe this next one (#11) is Karl.

No... TD 10 was short-lived last week and only had 3 advisories issued, never becoming Jeanne.

No, its Jeanne.

TD10 never became a TS.

Were you possibly thinking of Javier in the Pacific? That's a "J" storm. :-)

Oops, sorry, I always thought the storm names were in the numerical order of how they started - so #11 would be Karl. Pretty dopey first post I guess. And BTW, thanks to all of you for all you do. Been here lots in the past ten days - on stand by to head somewhere with the Red Cross - where is all up to Ivan.
