I don't believe it with that eye getting more defined that this storm would rise 3 millibars! That 157 knot wind is a little higher???

157 KT flight level I believe is 140 KT at the surface...160 mph!

Also notice the slight jog to the north and east...the storm actually LOST 3 minutes of longitude from the last fix, with a gain of 4 minutes latitude.

I don't think this Pressure is from the center if this is east of the old recon...Because this has clearly moved more northwest...

That makes no sense, its obviously getting more defined yet the pressure increase? 157 kt translates to a bit more than 160 mph I think.

Looks like ivan is weakening. With luck he will drop to a cat 4 by the next advisory. :D

That equates to Surface Level Winds of about 162 mph (Keep in mind however, that is in the NE quad. Previously they were measuring the NW quad)

If anything, Ivan is strengthening! It is also trying to turn, catching a bit of shear and geting close to land.
