I've been prepared for a while, will not put up plywood unless it is within 50 miles to the east of Biloxi.. will put up plywood if the center is expected from Mobile or west....

I'm at work...a coworker's husband called to say the Lowe's in Gulfport is out of plywood (he was picking some extra up for another relative and was able to find some elsewhere).

I was pretty flipped out until about three hours ago, when this odd calmness came over me.

But thanks to storm2K the terror is back :P

I'm at working and keeping an eye on things. Supplies are on hand, just need to top off the vehicles with gas, and hit the ATMS.

I'm hoping to never meet Ivan, but if I do, hopefully I'm prepared.

Forgot to mention that on the drive out of my town I saw one person with their plywood out but not up. The people who saw me tossing mine around the driveway yesterday gave me funny looks, who's laughing now, ha ha.

It's pretty much all anyone at work can talk about today.

Not on the coast, but Walmart, Lowes, and Home Depot in Hattiesburg are stocking the selfs with the essentials. People are starting to get ready. Lots of Camille and Fredrick stories being told. I'm going to get my stuff together this evening. There's not a generator within 500 miles. They were all shipped to Florida (were they don't need them now).

We're headed home.. with 40,000 lbs of fabric softener destined for FL. Got the family getting ready to head out. We're planning on making a ragtag convoy to Jackson when we know Ivan is headed to us. Got the house ready as Ivan was forming. Cried my goodbyes to my home this morning from Texas. She can't withstand a Cat 4 or 5! Still checking on friends to make sure they know to run. Brother-in-law plans a hurricane party. Didn't ask where he wanted to be buried.

Just heard that Dr Bill Williams was calling for a landfall from Pascagoula to Biloxi. I still think it's too early to say....but now's the time to take action.
