Greater New Orleans Conference Call at 10:00AM
Just heard on WWL-TV that Greater New Orleans officials will have a conference call at 10:00 AM to evaluate the situation and decide on emergency procedures. I would expect, after this conference call, that an evacuation of the metropolitan area will be announced....stay tuned. I will be at work for the conference call, today. I'm sure my employer will be in on the conference call as it is a leading employer in New Orleans with over 6,000 employees (most of which are employed Downtown).

i wouldnt wait for any conference call or some govt official to tell me to leave an area that is below sea level..i would pack up my stuffr and take pictures of my house becaue it may never be the same again if this thing hits at the correct angle.

Sean or someone else, please post the results of this call if you get a chance.

I work at that University that's in its second year of a new football program and doing very well.... and since they are not in New Orleans.... I'm sure they'll be the last to make a decision. I live in what I found is an evacuation area and I can see my family all leaving town, while I stay to give an exam tomorrow night....
