Okay, I have to be in Augusta, GA by early Wednesday afternoon. My flight from Tampa to Atlanta leaves on Wednesday morning. I have already booked a hotel room for both Monday and Tuesday nights in Jacksonville in case I have to drive to Augusta from my home here in Sarasota. The NHC still has us in the dreaded "cone of terror" and the local forecasts on TWC have both Tuesday and Wednesday as being rainy and windy here. Having already eaten airline tickets over Labor Day weekend, I'm trying to figure whether to:
a) Try to get a flight out to Atlanta on Tuesday evening
b) Drive to Jacksonville on Tuesday night and then drive to Augusta on Wednesday morning
c) Hope for the best and keep my flight plans for Wednesday morning
The last of the three would be the simplest but I'm not favoring it at this point.
Do the mets on this board think that it is most likely that it won't be possible to either fly out of Tampa or into Atlanta on Tuesday evening and/or Wednesday morning? I don't think sharing the road with a million other Floridians fleeing the storm will be a problem at this point but all opinions are welcomed.
