jb said last week after Ivan the area to watch for Hurricanes land fall will from North Carolinia area Northward to New England area. I don't think this season is over after Ivan . We got more Hurricanes to come for the Altantic area.

Glad someone posted on this - there is so much going on to the east of Ivan right now and much of it can not be ignored. The two things of interest (well the third is a new wave coming off Africa..pretty far south, although there was also a major ejection of a saharan air layer just to it's north) I see are the area immediately SE of the now infamous west-Atlantic upper low, and then E of the Lesser Antilles. The upper low has been filling over the last 24 hours, so the winds encircling it will be letting up a bit. At some point the upper levels should become conducive for ventilating these storms, rather than blowing off their tops. I think this has a good chance at slow development.

A few global models have been developing the system east ofthe Lesser Antilles for some time. It looks like the convection is somewhat more organized now. The northern islands could have some pretty good gusty thunderstorms in the next 24 hours.
