Yeah, me too.

Show me a NW turn, and I'll be the first to jump on the bandwagon.

there have been about 47 posts started just like this one. meanwhile back in reality land, Ivan keeps on just north of due west.

i can see how someone might think it's STARTED a turn to the north. i dont recall anyone saying it's made a hard turn.

some hasty and nasty comments starting again. go put your noses in your prospective corners and count to ten.

relax people. everyone had to start learning about these things. No one knows it all. Cut people some slack.

I'd like to see the board owners institute a policy banning the use of the term "-removed-". I, for one, have begun to find it offensive.

I track it by the NHC and HH fixes. It's fun to try and see it before they verify it. That's all this kind of thread is.

I see no turn towards the north, not even NW,it's still moving WNW.If half of the people on this board can't see this turn or jog to the north, then it's obviously not that big of a turn.

it may be getting elongated N/S with the CDO, but there is no turn. If anything, if you speed up the animation and zoom, the track is flattening out a little.

Okay, I'm not arguing a turn.

I looked at the overall motion and it appeared that an arc, a WIDE arc was taking place.

However, I placed a "?" at the end of the thread title because: (1) it was a question; and (2) I wanted to see if other people saw it as well.

OK, I never said it turned. But I think it wobbled. More importantly, I think the elongation has started, and the turn will happen within 8-10 hours. A turn is defined as a definite change of vector over at least 3 -6 hours. Wobbles sometimes are a prelude dude...and dudettes

Yeah, now if we could get a wobble right into the Yucatan and out of our hair, sorry no offense Mexico.

I agree 100% on more northerly then previous 6-12 hours, And seems to be more then a wobble. A trend? Still a few hours away of seeing that.

ahh. but the eye IS the storm.. center of circulation, and thats what matters.

Please: When someone posts about a direction change, put the time you notice it. That way when the post is bumped up later, we won't wonder what you saw in the first place.

watch the whole storm not just eye. We'll need at least 4 more frames...to be sure

That just looks like convection firing up on the north side to me. That would give it the appearance of moving north. To me it's just expanding north.

Flolks, it's a lot easier to track the eye on the IR float loop. The last four frames (19:15 through 21:15) do appear to move in the NW direction.
