I went and took a nap.
I've now done 2 "all-nighters" this week.
This has gotta stop.
I think I'm ready for "normal" again.

It is CRAZY isn't it??? But...I must say that I feel great that the last few days I have limited my computer time with Ivan to an hour or less at a time...2-3 times/day and boy do I feel BETTER!!! I decided it was nutz to keep reading the same stuff OVER and OVER and OVER again...because until he does something new, that's really all we're doing. Rehashing the same old theories and possibilities. So thanks Pebbles...this thread is DEFINITELY something that needed to be said, but its good (well...maybe it's sad) to know that I am in such good company with my storm addiction! :-) LOL

I've been weaning myself off because I notice all we do is go back and forth....it's going east, no west...no east....

ARG!

I am totally out of the cone on this one...So I just check in now and then.

Good advice though Pebbles.

There definately should be many of us here monitoring a dangerous hurricane, especially for those of us that are weather enthusiasts.

Many members don't access the site when there isn't a storm in the Atlantic Basin. The other forums are obviously just as opened as this one.

You know you got it bad when in the middle of the night, you keep clicking refresh hoping for something new to read.

I've never been addicted, thankfully.

How I temporarily kicked my S2K addiction: went out of town, to a place where only 56k (yeah right) dial-up is available.

That will cure you of a giant-image fetish right quick.

But my parents keep asking for the latest info, so I am dutifully checking around.

On a 56k dial-up.

So I'll be here the rest of the week doing that, natch.

I confess - I'm addicted!!!! If I happen to awaken in the middle of the night the first thing I think about is checking the message board.

This storm is so unpredictable that it warrants the midnight check.

Well, I'll be away from Storm2K between the hours of 1200pm and ~900pm Sunday. And I think we all know why!! (HINT: my screen name)

Week 1 baby, and the first Hurricane in a month that won't be trying to kill me. I have great sympathy for whoever gets Ivan (hopefully it becomes a Yucatan problem ..) but I have to say that it's about time a Hurricane DOESN'T drop by central Florida!

Yeah I'm severely addicted to this place. I can't stop monitoring Hurricane Ivan to save my life! I'm still down here in central Texas visiting relatives! For all I know it could slam into Texas!!

I find myself reading posts here every night til 3am, then my Mom yells at me about getting up at 12 NOON every day because I am so clinically addicted to Storm2k forums!!

Well I just can't break away. During the day I go out and do chores then I'm glued to this comp from 8pm onward and I just HAVE to monitor this hurricane!! I have The Weather Channel on all the time too!! Darn, I left the telly on all night last night, I fell asleep praying for Jamaica, tonight I gotta pray for the Cayman Islands......

When will these 'canes stop?
