wxman57-great high res imag- Where from?

#1 Postby camilletider » Sat Sep 11, 2004 11:06 pm

This is a request for wxman57. Earlier today you posted a pic labled ivan49 that was the best goes12 shot that I have ever seen. Is that your own software or can you direct me to the site you got the pic from?

I just wanted to say that this is a great site and I have learned a ton the last few days here. I am still an amateur but have done okay so far esp compared to the NHC on our big three this year in picking tracks and intensities. I pegged Ivan while he was spanking Grenada to take aim at the tip of the Yucatan, not Cuba (not by drawing a straight line,LOL, but it was the way I saw the dynamics).

A very ominous development is the possibility of New Orleans coming into the picture. If he hits there, say at around Cat 4 moving a little faster around 10mph, the loss of life will be tremendous. I used to live there and as soon as a real evacuation begins it will bog down within a few hours as wrecks will block the highways. Only the most ruthless road clearing strategies will avert greater loss of life than Galveston.
