Images do not take more bandwidth because all that is "served" from S2K to your web browser is the LINK to the image-- your browser then talks to the LINK server to download the data that makes up the image. This happens behind the scenes, so to speak.
Click "view source" from your browser's menu, and you'll see that the HTML sent from S2K to generate the page contains an image reference to a foreign server.
