Four "I" names retired in a row

#1 Postby HURAKAN » Sat Sep 11, 2004 6:55 pm

Iris - 2001
Isidore - 2002
Isabel - 2003
Iván - 2004 (very likely)

Is this a new record? I believe so. Something to note, at the beginning of the year everyone in this forum, including myself, agreed that the "I" storm will be severe and destructive just by looking the 3 years before, unfortunately we were right.

As the 9th letter, "I" storms have a good shot at being peak of season cape verde storms.

Nothing paranormal going on, just a coincidence.

Any predictions were merely lucky guesses. It could just as easiily been an H or J, instead.
