This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

The stupid guy with the 747....

#1 Postby Pebbles » Sat Sep 11, 2004 12:41 pm

.... you know..it just dawned on me why that nonsense of sucking up all the clouds in a hurricane with absorbant material is such a lamebrain idea besides the ones already listed.... The real cause of tropical systems isn't the clouds... It's the low pressure system! Can't 'suck up' the low pressure...so his point is moot...the low pressure would just whip up the convection again! Just thought to share since it was such a heated topic yesterday :)

ahhh but without the intense convection and lift, the low level low pressure system will not deepen and wrap up. of course it will take constant cycles of dynomat , in theory for this to work :)

Yeah..but how many times would he have to do that to prevent the convection that just one 'system' keeps blowing up...it would be impossible to do...

I can only imagine where those wet diapers, I mean wet dinomats might end up.
