I dont' think so. It's flattening from contact with the ridge to the northwest.

You know..as much as I hate Ivan..you gotta admit that's absolutely amazingly beautiful from an admirer of weather perspective!

I live in Biloxi which as you all know is home to the hurricane hunters. My friend spoke to one of the "hunters" at a restaurant last night and she told him to keep Ivan away from here. He said of course that he didnt wish Ivan on anyone but he said Ivan was an amazingly beautiful storm. She thought it was odd he would call Ivan beautiful. But I think this is proof of what he is saying....

WOW...

You know..I remember last year seeing some pictures the hurricane hunters had taken of some storm or another... Anyone know if there are any pics from them online this year?
