Talking about how the state of emergency is needed..in fact Gov Bush issued on in the US...no political talk about this...

scores of emails are coming in to 106 radio supporting Jamica

someone catch that link on wpat in new york that is linked and streaming with 106? that way people can listen when 106 streams are filled up

Reports of looting but police seem very vigilant on responding...No tolerance..no comperimise on looters this morning.

Last night, there some families that blew away along with their homes, just because they were afraid of those b*stard looters raiding their homes. So i guess those families decided to die with the house together. :(

Wow the DJ is using everything in his power to help people..Making sure officals know where food is needed and telling buisnesses that the radio station is available to spread news of help for the public.

As a frequent visitor to the lovely island of Jamaica, the perserverance and positive "vibe" you are listening to on the unbelieveable radio webcast, is one that makes Jamaicans and their country most unique. I feel for our Jamaican friends in Negril and pray for their survival this morning as it appears as if it is their turn to face the blows of Ivan.

According to the Cape Cod Times, p. A8, 9/12/04, Owen Brown returned home after working all night as a radio broadcaster and found that looters had taken everything he had stowed on an uper story of his home. "They left me with absolutely nothing," said Brown, 50, adding he was "shell-shocked..."

Is this the guy who was on the radio all night on this unbelievable radio webcast?

Can anyone verify?

Ha Ha. The monster thread has gone through a replacement cycle. I posted this on another thread, but I'm pretty sure it was Cliff Hughes of the Nationwide Program broadcasting all night.

Is anyone still listening to Power 106? If so, are you using the RealMedia links or the Winamp link? I still can't get in.
