My friend at the NWS called to tell me that she will be pulling some extra duty as the NHC/HPC has requested 6 hour upper air obs, instead of the normal 12 from LA north to TN and NC to south FL. This info should get into the models by 0Z tonight.
Been away all day so if this info was already known I apologize.
