DJ asked Superintendent of Police for the lootings. She said they checked up and there was no looting, and a lot of security people were around. The DJ asked about various other incidents and shootings that were heard and she denied all of them. Instead she started talking about the police talking people to hospital.

She also said: "The country is not under national curfew" But the police has the right of detaining people who are out without a good reason.

I suggest those who can call or email to give them updates as possible in terms of eye location, etc. You could be saving a life.

Caller has no sympathy for the looters. Hosts agree.

Geez. Only 449 people in a shelter that could hold 3700 cause he "wanted to keep things to a minimum?" This might be horrible

Earlier reports from the station said that so many people were refusing to go to shelters. So I would not assume this situation is like the Titanic with too few lifeboats. The people are resisting.

Inotherwords you are correct. I've been listening for the past few hours and most of the people that were calling in are staying at their homes and DO NOT THINK this will be anything other than a little bit of rain. It's sounds like they were WAY TOO LAID BACK for their own good. I hope not, but it doesn't sound like it.

Hmm.. loiters take away property. People needing assistance means saving lives. Which task should the police focus on? (I should say the brave, selfless first responders..police, fire, EMT etc.)
