Convection colder, larger in area, eye more distinct.

Those are the positives.

The asymmetry is a negative, but I don't believe it is shear related. Might have more to do with Jamaica interfering with the inflow in that quadrant.

It's called "synoptic shear". The ridge above has damaged its structure by having higher pressure and drier air to one side...
