I've had enough of my own Storm Stories of my own the last 3 weeks thanyouverymuch!
And I too hate TWC. They spend too much time on routine weather and they come on all chirpy and say stupid stuff like ".. and Illinois .. it looks like you're in for a beautiful day. I can almost smell the daffodils.."

Lyons is another joke. I stopped watching that channel when Hope died. He WAS the weather channel....and it died along with him.
That was a perfect statement. Oh boy I couldnt agree more with you. John Hope, please give me a vision and ensure me that things will get better.

Nerve opened, time to bump the post count...
Have they mentioned yet how the hurricane will impact Atlanta? Or, how it rained in Seattle yesterday and - fortunately - it did not affect Atlanta?
They should rename the channel TWCA. Kills me how several major hurricane events can occur, but they still find a way to get Atlanta into the discussion.
Okay, rant over. Thanks. That felt goooooood.

I wasn't aware of any statement by Lyons on a Yucatan landfall. Steve has a lot of knowledge and we shouldn't be so quick to put him down. On a funny note tonite, Vivian Brown mentioned his 20 years of experiance when she was introducing him which he replied, unfortanately it's be much longer than 20 years(poor old man)LOL

is it just me or do p. allen smith's gardening tips really come in handy when a cat 5 hurricane is about to destroy your world?

ROFLMAO!!!!!!In my house we were just talking abou this!!!! The only time it is even interesting is When Jim and Stephanie are out in the storm. I think TWC is taking the same "stupid" pill as my local weather guy. Here in MB we might get a "little" rain maybe by Wed. Maybe the same people who have our local guy in their pockets also have TWC.

Why yes! I find that leaving ferns scattered about the deck in lightweight planters that will do the Hustle in 155 mph winds provides quite the stress relief at landfall. No storm boredom here! Ah, the soothing sound of clods of dirt at Mach 3.
