I still have no power, Florida is hot and steamy. Came to work just to escape the heat! We faired overall okay. Some trees down but not on the house, thank God! At night, I have to use insect repellent just to keep the mosquitos from eating me up while I try to get some sleep! I haven't been able to communicate with the oputside world until today. Battery on laptop died....but don't even want to deal with Ivan at all! Red Cross and FEMA have been in the neighborhood giving out water, ice and MRE's. It keep raining...hard downpurs and the river is going to be 7 ft. above flood stage this Saturday. They are evacuating for the river rise starting today...... this sucks! and we didn't even get it as hard as south Fl.! I don't mean to complain, but this sucks big time!

Your back at work too eh. I have nasty choices, miss work and money and clean up with no power or running water at home, or work where it is air conditioned but smells like a urinal! Our office is about 15' from that lift station that poured sewage out for 12+ hours, its like working in a toilet! When you are on the way out of town if it strikes you should see us up ahead leaving as well :( First time I have EVER considered bugging out during a storm!
