The most common is a tropical wave. Need to add that to the poll.

Yeah that polll is a little off... anything will have to be a Tropical wave first then depression... so its east to prove which is the most common.

Tropical rainstorms would be even lower down the chain. The corialis effect groups them together and begins their rotation which eventually leads to hurricanes....
