Floydbuster is another example. He is 15 and has put out his forecast tracks which are dead on with the NHC.

Are you serious????!!!! I had no clue!!! I only wish all young people had as much sense as these kids on here(young men and women). I am so totally impressed!!!!
:notworthy:

Keep up the good work!!!!

Ivan intensifying?

#423 Postby frederic79 » Wed Sep 08, 2004 10:30 am

The latest frames in the visible loop clearly show an improving symmetry and colder cloud tops around a tighter and better defined eye. Outflow looks to be improving as well as Ivan gradually moves away from the land masses to the south. No new recon yet but I suspect pressure will be considerably lower when the report comes in. And, warmer waters up ahead with lower shear.

I have deleted several posts in this thread and sent out official warnings for the deplorable behavior. Let's all take a deep breath. Everyone is on pins and needles so let's all make an effort to keep that in mind.

As to the original post, Grenada was crushed/slammed by Ivan by all accounts that I've read. Our facination with the storm from the technical point in no way detracts from the sorrow for the people of Grenada or any other landfall point where he may go. I'm sure that everyone's heart here goes out to the people of Grenada and I'm fairly certain that the US will back that with aide and assistance in helping recover.

You forgot... the deja vu extends. Two weeks before that we were watching and waiting for Charley.

Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Arcadia, Bowling Green, and Wauchula have all been in that situation since Aug. 13. They could scarcely afford Frances with it's gusts and rains. It's been extremely difficult to get repairs done due to lack of workers. Too much damage, not enough hands.

Ivan won't help matters.

From stormcarib.com:

    Hi,

I have been in cellular contact with close friends in Grenada since last
night and they have said that the destruction is tantamount to Hiroshima.
There is not a tree standing. My friend witnessed homes being submerged and
thousands of trees and galvanize roofs flying through the air. The island is
devastated and I am not sure if everyone is aware of the severity due to
networks, electricity and phone lines being out of service. Grenada needs
relief workers and Aid as soon as possible.
