I am getting tired of them! I think SE Fla is going to be fine...Can I risk taking them down?

We all are. But I'd wait another couple of days until we have a better handle on where Ivan is going to go. Don't want to take them down just to have to turn around and put them back up again. Personally, I can live with the shutters another couple of days but what I would really like is ... electricity!!! I heard it might be another five days!

I took mine down and put them w/in easy reach. My parents are still w/out power and I think it would help them a little to take theirs down so they can open the windows and get some air going, even if it is hot.

I cant stand stale air!

I took down the easy shutters to install...have them next to the window for fast installation *just in case*

I think the the Florida peninsula may be spared this time around-but not the Northern Gulf Coast. :x

We have been extremely lucky so far this year!

Sir Cane, I agree with you. If the long range forecast continues to point our way I'll be plywood shopping by tomorrow night or Friday morning at latest.

I know the feeling! However, unless I see Ivan go into the W GOM I'm leaving mine up. I don't think that with the trough that is expected to drop into the GOM that Ivan will wander much from the coast of W. Florida.

From what I can see-it could go anywhere from Morgan City, LA to Tampa Bay.
