00z Nogaps another Florida Hurricane
The major models ukmet, ecmwf, and Nogaps continue to indicate that Ivan will be a serious threat to florida. Nogaps like the 12z run brings in very near the keys/southern florida than a landfall along the west coast of Florida. This is unreal if it verifies and the synoptic set-up is there for another direct hit over the keys or southern/central florida....

The Tampa Bay area DOES NOT need anymore rain. We are Flooding. We had a wet year before all this. We have rivers that are cresting higher than ever. There was an article in the paper about someone on the Little Manatee that just bought a home on 10ft. stilts the begining of summer and he already has 3 ft of water in his home. The river is due to crest today. How scary!

Funny you should say that. Several weeks ago, people in South Florida were saying how bad the drought was and how much they needed the rain. Well, be careful what you ask for!
Here in NE FLorida, we are about 18" above normal and we haven't hit our wettest month yet. Not even a halfway funny thought.
Sure beats the Fires of 1998 though. Ashes the size of baseballs falling all around.....
