Trivia Question - Highest "letter" reached?
Just out of interest - Since we started naming stores, what was the highest name, letter-wise, that we ever reached?

In 1995 they got all the way to Tanya; I think that's the highest. There were 19 named storms that year.

Hm, looking at that table of historic counts.
The longest streak of 10+ named storms was 4 years in a row. That is, before 1998+. We now have 7 years is a row with 12+ named storms.
We also have 7 years with 2 or more major hurricanes. There is an impressive streak 1947-1961 with 2+ major hurricanes per year, but other then that, it was usually 2-3 years with 2+ majors, followed by 0-1 majors.

This site says there were 18 tropical storms in one year, but it doesnt say which one.
Actually I think the year we made it to Tanya was 1955, not 1995.
