Not again...please.

#1 Postby nickd » Wed Sep 08, 2004 6:57 am

I cant take it again. The state of Florida can't take it again. I haven't even gotten a direct hit and I am still trying to recover. I had roof damage and leaks in the house. No power for 3 days. I cant imagine what the people who got directly affected are going through. Especially the ones that got hit twice.

My worry is despite some erratic model runs the NHC has been very good 5 days out. Just look at Charley and Frances forecasts from 5 days out. Charley was better than Frances but this current forecast is still too close for comfort. I'm going far away this time. Ivan is nothing to be screwing around with.

Yes I agree. Still have no power here in Palm Bay; been out since Saturday morning. Hard to sleep in the humidity and heat. What's the latest with Ivan and the prognostications??? Any help would bee appreciated as I have little access to many of the sites.

Anything can happen in the next few days, it might steer way wide of us. But if we get hit again we'll just have to do the best we can and get through it together.

I wonder if the credit card companies will give people credit limit increases so they can buy tickets to get out of there if indeed Ivan is headed that way.

I agree.....We are still living off generator...the tree has made a wonderful addition to the bedroom and now the skeeters are coming out full force, and the snakes seem to love coming in via the bedroom. I have had enough. Can't imagine how the folks do it with a direct hit. Real tired of Ravioli and peanut butter. please, please, please, go out to sea
